After Giving Birth, All My Beast Ex-Husbands Suddenly Want Me Back

Chapter 299: Sea Song Festival

Chapter 299: Sea Song Festival

Lex’s father, Lani, informed Nina that based on the current conditions, the Abyss of Darkness would likely remain open for somewhere between seven and fifteen days.

Meanwhile, Dian’s merman pearl would need another four or five days to fully recover.

After discussing it carefully, they ultimately decided to wait until Dian’s pearl had completely regained its power before entering the abyss.

Over the past few days, the males had also managed to collect a considerable amount of Sea Crystal Stones.

That morning, they finally handed over the crystals they had gathered the previous day.

The night before, they had returned far too late to disturb Nina.

Among them, Idir and Lex had collected an especially shocking amount, while Setan and Yanai had also gathered far more than most.

The beastmen frowned slightly. Those few had clearly been secretly pushing themselves harder than everyone else.

Nina looked at the faint exhaustion lingering on Idir and the others’ faces, emotions stirring quietly inside her chest.

She knew they must have sacrificed their own rest to gather so many crystals.

Turning toward Lani, she asked softly, "Father... this should be enough now, right?"

Lani examined the crystals for a moment before nodding.

"It should be about enough."

Nina looked back at the beastmen and at Idir’s group.

"Then stop overworking yourselves and get some proper rest."

The males nodded obediently.

"Nina," Odian said gently, "you should absorb these first."

"Alright."

Nina returned to her room and spent most of the morning absorbing the Sea Crystal Stones one by one.

By the time she finally finished, more than half the day had already passed.

The moment Rosen saw her emerge from the room, she hurried over excitedly.

"Nina! Tomorrow, our sea clan is holding the Sea Song Festival. Come with us and have some fun!"

"The Sea Song Festival?" Nina asked curiously. "What’s that?"

"It’s a grand festival held only once every three years," Rosen explained enthusiastically. "Most of the sea clan attends. There’ll be performances, exhibitions, all kinds of lively activities—it’s very entertaining."

She clasped Nina’s arm eagerly.

"Nina, you have to come. If you miss it, you’ll have to wait years for the next one."

Her eyes were filled with hopeful anticipation.

Nina smiled helplessly at her enthusiasm. "Alright. I’ll go."

Rosen’s eyes immediately lit up. "That’s wonderful! Then I’ll head back later and prepare my outfit."

"We need special clothes for it?" Nina asked. "What kind?"

Rosen’s beautiful eyes curved with amusement.

"Just wear something pretty and add some jewelry. But honestly, with your looks, Nina, you’d look beautiful no matter what you wear. You probably don’t even need to prepare anything special."

Nina laughed softly. "I should still make some preparations."

After all, she couldn’t embarrass Rosen by appearing too casual.

"That’s fine too," Rosen replied warmly. "Just choose whatever you like. Don’t stress over it."

"Alright."

The two chatted for a while longer before Rosen finally returned home.

After she left, Nina turned toward Dian.

"Dian, what kind of clothes do people usually wear to this festival?"

"There aren’t any strict rules," Dian explained, "but females generally dress more lavishly for the Sea Song Festival."

Nina thought about it for a moment.

Lavish clothing wasn’t exactly a problem.

Most of the outfits Aviel and Odian made for her were already extremely ornate and luxurious.

Just then, Dian took out several pearls of astonishingly high quality.

"Nina," he said brightly, "which kind of pearls do you like? I’ll make you a necklace."

"A pearl necklace too?" Nina blinked in confusion.

Dian nodded.

"Mhm. During the Sea Song Festival, whether they’re already mated or not, males will gift the finest pearl necklaces to the females they love as a way of expressing their affection."

The pearls he intended to give Nina were all extremely rare treasures.

Among the sea clan, the quality of a female’s pearls also indirectly reflected the strength and status of the male behind her.

Ordinary males would not dare compete once they saw pearls of that caliber.

Otherwise...

Dian truly did not dare imagine just how many males would line up to present pearl necklaces to Nina during the festival.

If Rosen had not personally invited Nina, Dian honestly would not have wanted her attending the festival at all.

"Wow... there’s actually a tradition like that?" Nina said with interest.

She lowered her gaze to the pearls spread out before her and eventually selected several golden ones.

If the goal was elegance and extravagance, then she might as well go all the way.

Dian carefully packed the pearls away.

He would start crafting the necklace for her immediately.

The beastmen exchanged subtle looks with one another.

Shouldn’t they prepare pearl necklaces for Nina too?

At a festival like this, a female would definitely receive far more than just one necklace.

But the problem was... They no longer had many beast crystals left. Most of their wealth had already been handed over to Nina long ago.

Idir and the others lowered their eyes, each silently beginning to scheme.

"Is there anything else I should know?" Nina asked.

Dian shook his head. "That’s all. Nina, you can go pick your outfit first. I’ll finish the pearl necklace very quickly."

Then he eagerly brought out all the clothes he had personally made for her as well.

His outfits paired with pearls would definitely look even more stunning.

"Alright," Nina replied with a smile.

The other beastmen immediately wanted to bring out the clothes they had made for her too.

"Let’s go choose in the room," Nina said helplessly.

The males had made so many outfits for her already that piling them all up in the living room would be far too chaotic.

The beastmen followed Nina back into her room while Dian gathered up his clothing designs and hurried after them.

Meanwhile, Idir and several of the others quietly left the hall together in perfect tacit understanding and headed toward the city marketplace.

Yina had already been wandering around Nina’s residence for several days hoping to run into Idir.

Just as she began thinking she would miss him again today, Idir suddenly appeared in her line of sight.

Her eyes lit up immediately as she hurried over.

"Hello," she said nervously. "My name is Yina. Can I get to know you?"

Idir frowned and instinctively stepped back.

"Sorry. I don’t want to know you. And I already have a female."

Even though Nina had not officially accepted him yet, in his heart, she was already his female.

"But you don’t even have a mating mark," Yina insisted unwillingly.

"That’s none of your business."

With that cold reply, Idir turned and flew away almost immediately.

At that moment, Shania happened to be arriving to invite Nina to the Sea Song Festival and witnessed the entire interaction.

Walking over to Yina, she frowned disapprovingly.

"Yina, that male belongs to Nina. How can you try to steal a friend’s male?"

"He doesn’t even have a mating mark," Yina argued stubbornly. "What makes you so sure he belongs to Nina?"

"He lives in Nina’s home, and it’s obvious how much attention he pays to her," Shania replied. "Of course he’s her male."

"There are lots of males living in Nina’s house. Does that mean every single one belongs to her?"

Yina bit her lip, unwilling to give up. Truthfully, she had already suspected the answer herself.

But Idir was exactly her type. She truly liked him.

"Whether it’s true or not, you know perfectly well in your own heart," Shani said unhappily. "And he already said he has a female. It couldn’t be more obvious."

Then her tone became more serious.

"If you keep acting like this, I won’t hang out with you anymore."

Yina lowered her head silently, biting her lip before turning and leaving.

Shania watched her go before heading off toward Nina’s residence instead.

After meeting Nina and learning that she would indeed attend the Sea Song Festival, Shania quickly left in delight.

Once Nina finished selecting her outfit, the beastmen left Dian behind to accompany her while they themselves quietly departed as well.

Odian practically emptied the entire savings of the phoenix clan males.

Sal shamelessly confiscated all the beast crystals Ghost Wolf and the others had painstakingly saved up.

Aviel ruthlessly looted Viann and the dragon guards clean.

Kith and Finch went directly to Taru.

Mino sought out Ming.

After scraping together enough beast crystals, the beastmen finally set off toward the marketplace themselves.
