Chapter 181 THE INNATES
Chapter 181 THE INNATES
Seeing that the guy has taken more than a hundred people in his house, the fallen were pissed off and went to call their superior.
Just a short while, a massive figure with bat wings made out of worms arrives, looking at the empty street in front of him, his already disgusting feature becomes worse.
"Hmph! A newbie that can’t control himself is nothing more than just slave! Since you court death, I shall bring you to the Discovery Group!"
Hearing this, the other fallen shivers, the name of the group might be simple but whatv they do isn’t.
They are responsible for all manners of research and travel, they use the lives of normal people and some fallen ones to discover ways or paths that can increase their strength.
Inside the house, Sean was sweating, using teleportation multiple times was taxing for his spirit, he needs to rest.
"Hmm? Someone is coming, a silver ranker?"
"It must be the disgusting Varuk, he’s responsible for taking care of the low ranking fallen."
A woman who has the same feature as John says with hatred.
"It’s just a mere silver ranker, if it weren’t for the fact that we are worried for your safety, this city and everyone else in it would had been obliterated by us in just a matter of minutes."
When the man destroys the door, what greets him was a hand and he was pulled inside.
The fallen watches with excitement but the one who came out was still the same guy, he even dares to gather the people from the other streets.
Inside the house, Sean was meditating, for that Varuk guy, he was already dead, there’s nothing left in his body.
"Don’t disturb his rest." The woman, who was now a bit healthier approaches him and starts massaging his head.
They want his rest as comfortable as they can manage.
In just a short while, Sean finally recovers the rolling power on his body, after using multiple teleportation in just a matter of minutes, he’s becoming more and more proficient.
"Has he returned?"
"Yes, lord Sean, the basement is already full of survivors, the liberation group is now calming them down."
"Bring them to me, I’ll teleport them to a safer place."
"Had you rested enough, lord Sean?" She hurriedly asks.
"No need to worry, the faster we rescue the people, the earlier I can fully rest."
"Too bad that our escape points were discovered or else, we would had gathered the people and escape ourselves." She sighs.
"Escape points!?"
"Yes, our city has multiple escape points, one was from our Wind Family, it’s because there are multiple powerful gold rank mystique creatures present around us that we were constantly on guard against any invasion."
This is different from what he heard.
"I thought that City Z2 is the closest in terms of strength to City Z1?"
"Yes, but we aren’t unified and we’re constantly competing against each other, that’s why all the major families have escape routes that are only known to the main members of their group or family."
"Had all the escape route been discovered!?" He was shocked by just how efficient their enemy was.
"No, the escape routes are still there, only some were discovered, the reason why I said that all the escape points are blocked is because all of the major powers were destroyed after the invasion, including my Wind Family."
"Let’s use it, since there is an escape route, I don’t need to use my teleportation and can bring everyone there."
"But it’s being guarded."
"No matter, those traitors will definitely follow my command."
Taking out a cloak, he covers himself and releases abyssal energy and a pressure comparable to that of a gold rank.
Her expression changes before returning to normal, she shakes her head.
"No, your energy seems pure? It’s also quite small, the people that we saw and fought with has much denser energy and it would make those that sense the energy feels disgust and dread, they are also corrupted, making their personalities quite twisted."
Sean frowns. "Don’t you feel disgust after sensing my energy?"
"No, as I said, it seemed somewhat pure, which is quite confusing."
"Then, I can only try to imitate the second trait."
Everyone’s expression changes as their bodies starts trembling.
They seemed to be in front of a giant demon god, around them was a sea of blood and mountain of corpses.
She can’t help but swallow nervously, only after Sean retracts his energy did she recover, she realizes that she wasn’t breathing, not just her but also the others.
"Your dread is also different from theirs, it seems to come from souls twisted by their torture, unlike yours which was overpowering, as if, you had slain countless beings much higher rank that you."
"We can only try, even if there’s a difference, I’ll just kill them, showcasing my might, as long as my energy is similar to theirs, even if they find it quite strange, it’s still likely that they would believe me."
The rest were taken outside and he only brought the guy and John’s sister.
Sensing the power from Sean, no one dares to approach them.
"This, is this really your former home?" Looking at the location that was reduced into rubble and multiple people camping inside, his lip can’t help but twitch.
They walk deeper into the ruin and finally arrives at a shed, Janice opens the door and when they walk deeper, their expressions can’t help but turn slightly.
The smell of shxt is quite powerful.
"This is where we collect the waste of our Griffins, it is said that such items are helpful to the growth of lionmane grass, one of the important materials for evolution of multiple lion type mystique creatures, that includes the Griffins."
Sean sucks everything on his hand throws them inside Beast World, in a pit, he’s going to use them to grow that said plant.
After the pile of waste were cleaned, he waves his hand and the smell also disappears.
Underneath the pile of wastes was a door, he can’t help but feel impressed at the genius way for the Wind Family to hide their escape path.
"This is the escape path?" He asks.
"No, this is just a disguise, she walks towards a wall and starts knocking on them, her eyes lights up and destroys the wall, a hole appears.
"Using this, we will pass through the city and arrive at tall mountain that can only be passed through successfully by flying mystique creatures."
"Then, take this, this sword will transform into a flying tiger, just call my name once you arrive at the location, you, stay here and starts bringing the people inside."
Janice nods her head and left, Sean and the guy starts capturing the people around them and bringing them to the shed.
As the number of people decreases, this causes the people watching from afar frown.
"You! What the hell-" He didn’t finish his words when Sean grabs his head and absorbs his vital force, turning him into a husk.
The scene was seen by everyone and they can’t help but shiver in fear and quickly leaves, afraid that someone as insatiable as Sean would also target them.
They agree thought that the people he captured were turned into husks.
His nonstop abduction of the people from the city has alarmed everyone and they quickly gather in front of the shed to confront him.
Looking at the people outside, Sean’s expression becomes gloomy.
"Enter the passage, it seems that I can only save this much."
"You already done your best, hero! We are willing to serve you if we manage to survive!"
"Don’t worry, you will definitely will but I apologized but you can’t take revenge against these guys in the future because we’re planning on eradicating every single one of them tonight!"
The man was shaken but he quickly recovers, he bows to him and leaves in haste.
"It seems that I need to start the signal and these traitors are the just the perfect fireworks."
Outside the city, everyone were talking excitedly, Bai was seen coming and going, carrying people on his back.
"So they use the secret passage, it seems that lord Sean has successfully rescued our people!" Christine excitedly scream.
"How are you surprised? I know that lord Sean will definitely be successful!" John proudly claim.
BOOM!
The entire city starts shaking, Wuk smiles and laughs out loud.
"It seems that it’s our turn! Scorchy! Bun Bun! Follow me!" With that, he transforms into his giant ape form and starts running toward the city.
BOOM!
Without caring about the destruction he causes, Wuk punches the city wall into dust.
Bun Bun dashes pass him and her target were the gold rankers that were alarmed in their attacks.
"Kill!"
"Kill the traitors!"
"Vengeance!"
The people from their side charges after Wuk and the gold rankers.
Meanwhile, Sean can sense Wuk and the others, he smiles, knowing that they have the advantage in terms of strength, no matter what the other side does, they are meaningless against absolute power.
"Now then, where are you?" He didn’t join the fight and went around the city, killing any traitors he encounters and saving some of the people that he failed to gather earlier.
"Hahaha! How weak! Where are the Innates! Bring them out for this king!" Wuk roars as he slaps the ground, turning the streets into dust.
"Hmph! How brave and utterly foolish! As expected from a stupid monkey! Did you really think your-"
He didn’t finish what he wanted to say when Wuk grabs him by going at extreme speed.
"You talk too much!" He didn’t immediately attacks him and brings him outside, he knows just how destructive a battle between Innates are.
After landing on the wilderness, Wuk frowns, he has been trying to crush the person on his palm since earlier but something was preventing him.
Now, he doesn’t even feel anyone on his palm, confused, he opens his palm, only to be hit by a ball of energy in the face.
BOOM!
"Hahaha! Take that you foolish monk-"
BAM!
Wuk slaps him to the ground, furious that he was tricked, as a trickster, one of the things that pisses him off is actually being tricked.
The man teleports but was once again locked by an energy that prevents spatial travel.
’I don’t need teleportation! As long as you can’t either!’
Pressure^Golden King Qi.
Vajra Fist!
One punch! Two punches! Three punches!
A rain of punches starts pummeling the freak, it wasn’t fist that he was seeing, it’s like multiple suns were descending and he can’t retaliate as his abyssal energy was actually being burned.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Wuk wasn’t going to stop, the conversation between him and Sean flashes in his mind.
"Wuk, you know that you’re indestructible, why don’t you use that to your advantage, don’t care about blocking, just continue attacking no matter what! Be both Unbreakable and Unstoppable!"
"I’m the strongest there is!" He roars as he continues to punch the man without any intention of stopping, not caring if the person is dead or not.
Back in the city, Sean was searching for more survivors when he senses a familiar chaotic energy.
"Genetic Upgrade!"
His roar startles everyone in the city, including the survivors.
"Go!" He shoves the people in his cloud towards the safe zone and dashes towards the direction where he senses the energy.
In an underground lab, filled with multiple subjects in grotesque form and limbs that came from different species, two figures were conversing.
"I can’t sense Shan’s energy, either he’s dead or was sealed into an unknown location."
"That’s impossible! He’s an Innate! A lesser Innate! Unlike the fake copies that we created!"
"I’ve heard of rumours regarding a certain person that has killed multiple Innates but I don’t think that he lives in this zone."
"No matter, we need to fix the situation happening outside."
"I can’t believe that our surefire plan of producing Innates by letting them train to more rich worlds would still fail."
