Chapter 850 - 875: Never Falter (5)
The moment he was about to finish speaking, the phone suddenly started ringing in the car.
Ford looked down and searched a bit, only to realize it was Mia Ginger’s phone that had hurriedly fallen under the car seat.
"Brother Jackson?" Ford glanced at Ron King.
"Don’t answer it yet." Ron King said nervously, "Let it ring, once it stops, turn it off and toss it in a roadside trash bin. Nowadays these phones have some kind of location tracker, it’s a pain!"
Ford kept his head down, waited until the phone stopped ringing, and then shut it down.
Not long after, he spotted an open manhole cover ready for repair work and tossed it right in.
Mia Ginger raised her eyes to look at him, clutching her hands, lowering her head again.
Ron King wanted to extort.
He would certainly ensure her safety for the time being.
The man called Ford seemed like a thug, he had to be guarded against.
Not to mention the guy driving in the front, do Charlotte Chester and Zuri Ginger even know about this?
Online things point to Zuri Ginger, then, what’s really going on with the incident of urinating on Aurora Cooper, and does it have any connection to them?
If they want money, they shouldn’t go around upsetting Aiden Jiang and Aurora Cooper!
Does Brother Jackson know?
He was worried he would definitely rush back to Blossom Quarter right after work.
According to the time, he’d know about her disappearance in at most two hours.
Mia Ginger felt a bit relieved, sitting with her hands clenched, not saying a word, when suddenly another loud ringtone startled her.
It was the phone belonging to the man driving in the front.
"What about Zara?" The man answered the call, his voice warm and honest, with a hint of laughter, very amicable, one would never suspect he was engaged in anything unlawful.
"Daddy isn’t coming home tonight, be good, sleep with Grandma."
"Alright, alright."
The man chuckled as he hung up the call, leaving the cabin in quietness.
Ron King suddenly asked, "The kid’s gone home?"
"Yeah." The man hung up the phone, his voice now sounding thick and morose, "The cost at the fourth hospital is simply unaffordable, we’ve borrowed all we can during this period, my mom’s hair is nearly all white now."
"Hospitals nowadays are like that, only care about money, without it they don’t give a damn whether you live or die!" Ford said angrily.
Ron King glanced at Mia Ginger, roughly comforting him, "As long as our plan works out, everyone gets a third as per the deal, not a penny less, Zara’s illness won’t be an issue."
"Hope this really goes through." The man asked in a deep voice, "They won’t call the police, right?"
"If they report us, we’ll kill her," Ron King snorted, "Those rich folks don’t even consider money as money. Charlotte said just one necklace is worth hundreds of thousands, big bucks."
"That’s right, I saw Aunt Chester’s jade bracelet, luscious green, really beautiful!"
Ron King laughed twice.
The vehicle drove out of the city, bumping along the way, after who knows how long, finally reaching the destination.
As evening approached, the sky was gradually darkening.
The car door opened, Mia Ginger was pulled out by Ron King holding her arm, facing a truck with a cabin.
Upon raising her eyes for a quick glance, there were cars all around, mostly trucks, many of them, lined up quietly, not a single shadow of a person in sight.
She couldn’t even take a closer look before being thrown directly into the cabin.
Her hands and feet were bound, mouth gagged, as a small young girl, she couldn’t possibly escape.
