Chapter 466 - 465: I Won’t Leave His Side
The driver swallowed his complaints and accelerated the car.
Archer Quinn comforted Bella and dialed his assistant’s phone number, saying, "Book two tickets for the earliest possible flight to Creston."
The assistant, who was in the car following behind, was taken aback, "Brother Quinn, did something happen at the company?" He was still thinking, why didn’t he receive any notification if something had happened?
"Don’t ask too many questions. Book tickets for several different time slots for the earliest possible flights to Creston. I’ll send you the ID information."
"Oh, okay." The assistant took a moment to respond.
After hanging up, Archer Quinn said, "Bella, give me your ID number."
"Senior Quinn, no need to trouble yourself. I can just have Piggy book the tickets." Bella felt a bit uneasy always being taken care of by Archer Quinn.
"In your current state, how could I let you go to the hospital alone?" Archer Quinn insisted, "Give me your ID number. We will go to Creston to visit Mr. Sinclair together. Bella, if you keep being distant, I’ll get angry."
Seeing him put on a serious face, Bella didn’t persist and gave him her ID number.
Archer Quinn sent a text to his assistant, instructing him to hurry with the ticket booking, and said, "Bella, don’t worry too much. Mr. Sinclair’s doctors are certainly the best, he’ll be alright."
"Mhm." Bella nodded, but it was impossible for her not to be anxious inside.
Right now, she just wished she could fly straight to Damian and see with her own eyes that he was safe and sound.
The car sped along the highway at 120 kph, reaching the airport as fast as possible.
Archer Quinn’s assistant managed to book the earliest available flight, and as soon as they arrived at the airport, they went through the VIP channel to check-in. If the driver had been any slower, they would have missed the flight.
The plane took off, and all phones were turned off. During the two-plus-hour flight, Bella didn’t shut her eyes once.
Archer Quinn sat beside her, watching as she worried and fretted over another man, unable to even feel jealous, only tasting bitterness in his heart.
"Bella," Archer called out.
Bella was startled, "Senior Quinn, I’m sorry, did I disturb you?"
Archer shook his head, lifted the blanket off his lap, sat up, and gently said, "We’ll be in Creston soon. Do you want to take a nap?"
"I can’t sleep at all right now." Bella pressed her lips and said, "Damian always kept up with his workouts, he’s always been healthy and rarely even caught a cold. Yet this time he had a stomach hemorrhage; whenever I close my eyes, my mind starts to wander, fearing something might happen to him."
"And keeping your eyes open stops you from overthinking?"
Bella shook her head, "I still overthink. Right now, I can’t wait to be in his hospital room, by his side. Even if Mrs. Sinclair tries to kick me out, I’m going to stick by him."
For the first time, Bella experienced such chaos inside, and no amount of comforting helped. She had to see Damian Sinclair safe and sound with her own eyes to find peace.
The plane landed in Creston near 2 PM. Bella immediately asked Judy Zimmerman to help with her luggage, while she headed straight to the car prepared by the studio, with Archer Quinn accompanying her all the way.
Without a driver’s license, Bella sat as Archer Quinn drove them to the hospital.
